Compressed Air is Expen$ive!

Considered the "Fourth Utility" after electricity, natural gas, and water, compressed air is one of the most expensive uses of energy in a manufacturing plant.  Compressed air is typically the only utility generated by the plant itself.  More than 85% of all US manufacturing companies generate and utilize their own compressed air.  And generating compressed air is expensive since it takes about eight horsepower of electricity to generate just one horsepower of compressed air!

Per million BTUs of energy delivered,
compressed air is significantly more
expensive than the other three utilities.

Compressed Air is also the most wasted utility due to system leaks, inappropriate and inefficient uses, artificial demands, and higher than necessary pressure settings.  In most systems only half of the compressed air generated is ever actually used in production.

Wasting Compressed Air means wasting electricity.
Wasting electricity not only costs your company more
in utility bills, but it effects the environment as well.
Every horsepower saved reduces the carbon footprint
of your plant and lowers the associated greenhouse
gasses required to produce that wasted power.

AirTech Engineering helps you to identify and address these areas of waste, decreasing your overall compressed air demand and increasing your bottom line profitability.
